The Hayward Figure Skating Club is open to all members of the community ages 4 and older. Programs are offered for all levels of skaters ranging from the very beginner to those skating in competitions across the country. Mini Anderson our head instructor brings with her 30 years of skating knowledge and has coached the club to numerous championships. She is assisted by Janeen Abric and many accomplished club members. Each year the club produces many Champions is proud to present our community with its Annual Figure Skating Show to wrap up its season. 2011 - 2012 Date On-line Registration Opens: 5:00 pm on September 15, 2011 (Sharon will be available Friday 9/16 from 10 - 4 via e-mail or phone 715-699-0893 to answer questions you may have during the on-line registration process)
We are implimenting a NEW ONLINE registration program.
We will require all skaters regardless of age to register on-line to help streamline our paperwork system.
Once you have completed On-Line registration a confirmation e-mail will be sent to you with further instructions on how to proceed.
Fees listed below reflect the USFSA Insurance Fees. If you have already paid this season your fee will be adjusted accordingly.
Programs Offered Learn to Skate (LTS) Free for the 2011 season! Please see "Learn to Skate" Tab on Home Page Learn to Figure Skate (LTFS) $90.00 + 8 Hours Volunteer Time (formally 1st year group) Group Lessons - 30 minutes per lesson "Learn to Figure Skate" is for skaters ages 4 and up who have successfully completed the "Learn to Skate Program" or already possess beginner skating skills.
Skaters will be instructed in "Basic Skills" 1 and 2 as outlined by the United States Figure Skating Association.
Basic Skills $240.00 + 15 Volunteer Hours & Raffl (formally Return Group) Group Lessons - 30 minutes per lesson Skaters of any age who have mastered "Basic Skills" 1 & 2 will be ready for this group. Instructors will teach "Basic Skills" 3 and 4 as outlined by the United States Figure Skating Association.
(Instructors may recommend Semi-Private lessons as season progresses for skaters attaining level 4 or higher)
Semi-Private Skaters $350.00+ Instructor Fees + 25 Hours Volunteer Time & Raffle 2 Skaters per Instructor - 20 minutes Skaters at any age or level wishing to have more one on one time with an instructor may take "Semi-Private" Lessons. Skaters are paired with a club member of equal ability. Each session is 20 minute in lenghth, 10 minutes of individual direct instruction to be given to each skater. The skaters then works independently, within the coaches view on theskills being developed.
Instructor fees per lesson will be billed directly by the coaches. Janeen Abric $4.00 / Mimi Anderson $5.00
Private Lessons $450.00+ Instructor Fees + 25 Hours Volunteer Time & Raffle 1 Skater per Instructor - 20 minute sessionsSkaters at any age or level wishing to have one on one time with an instructor may take "Private" Lessons. Skaters will work independently with their coach in 20 minute sessions.
