Behavior Expectations:

Our biggest goal through this age group is to teach how to be a good teammate. Besides skill acquisition, having fun, and loving the game we feel this is one of the most important aspects of our sport that has to be highlighted. It is a work in progress throughout the year for each kid. We as experienced coaches and teachers ask that you trust us as we work through those mountains and molehills of character development.

Parents Volunteering:

Volunteerism is the backbone of our program. Without volunteers this program fails to function. It is something that for decades has helped bond us as a hockey family and help provide generations of ice time for many young people.

We understand that not everyone is going to drive the zamboni, move nets, penalty box time, clean a locker room, take out garbage, (all opportunities to volunteer) however we know that there is an opportunity for everyone to fill a role to make our facility and program one of the best in the Northland. It begins and ends with us as parents and Volunteers. We find that we take more pride when we make something ours and that's what we are hoping to accomplish. Make this your building, help provide our community with a professional facility and help our kids excel and have confidence both on and off the ice. We are a small part of the larger Hayward Hockey family, and as your child falls in love with the game this will become like family to you.  The Torch has been passed to you, be yours to carry on.

We want to take a walk through for all parents of our facility so you can see first hand the different opportunities for volunteering around the facility.

Our staff wants to help educate new parents to the sport, and share some of the most successful ways to be a Hayward Hockey Parent, and a Hayward Hockey volunteer.
